Eramus Hall: "Go Head"

And we're back to the '80's thing again.  This is much more '80's and mechanized than One Way, actually, and it has this robot sort of P-Funk thing going on (produced by George Clinton).  Hard to find, but another one that would surprise mollyfocks on the dancefloor.  Eramus Hall were actually given their name by George Clinton himself, and they shared for years the Detroit connection with the Parliafunkadelicment Thang.  This album is strange indeed, and has totally bizarre, futuristic cover art of robotic figures plugging themselves in, done by P-Funk illustrators Overton Lloyd and Ronald "Stozo" Edwards.  Features a ton of P-Funk alum, including the P-Funk horns, Garry Shider, Mudbone, "Clip" Payne, P-Nut, Mallia Franklin, etc.  "I Can't Keep My Head," which functions kind of as the album's theme song, rides one of the weirdest new wave grooves ever recorded.  Also of note is "Checkin You Checkin Yourself Out," which modulates between Van Halen-esque arena metal and synth-drenched techno-dance-funk...a delectable combination.
